Welcome to The Café at Christ Church, a unique and charming café nestled within the serene atmosphere of Christ Church Jubilee Square in Woking. This delightful café perfectly marries the tranquility of a place of worship with the bustle of everyday life, making it an ideal spot for both casual diners and those seeking a peaceful retreat.

The menu at The Café boasts a variety of delicious offerings that cater to a range of tastes, from light bites to hearty meals. Imagine indulging in a classic Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato sandwich, savoring the crispy bacon paired with fresh, crunchy vegetables. If you’re in the mood for something more decadent, try the Brie & Cranberry option, where the creamy cheese harmonizes beautifully with the tartness of cranberry. For those with a penchant for poultry, the Sweet Chilli Chicken & Mozzarella or the Lemon & Tarragon Chicken are both exquisite, bursting with flavor and comfort. And let’s not forget about their delightful breakfast offerings, highlighted by a full traditional English breakfast that Alain Sanchez raves about—complete with tea, eggs, and sausages served with a smile.

The atmosphere at The Café is equally inviting, with a uniquely pretty interior that reflects the historical significance of its setting. The space feels warm and welcoming, perfect for catching up with friends over a lovely afternoon tea, a concern so beautifully voiced by Sarima Okwu, who enjoyed a delightful experience during the jubilee celebrations. Customers appreciate the buzz of conversation coupled with just the right background music, creating an ambience conducive to both lively discussions and quiet contemplation.

The friendly staff at The Café play a crucial role in the joy of the dining experience. Guests like Charlotte Stacey have praised the welcoming service, emphasizing how the staff make everyone feel at home. It’s clear that this café is more than just a place to grab a bite; it’s a community hub where laughter and conversation flow as freely as the coffee does. Speaking of coffee, those seeking a caffeine boost will find their perfect cup here, with regulars like Pete Hewlett enthusiastically recommending the "delicious coffee" available alongside their famous toasties and sweet cakes.

Though it temporarily closed for renovations from March to September, The Café at Christ Church has garnered a loyal following eager to return and savor the mouthwatering delights once more. When you step through its doors, you can expect a culinary journey paired with a sense of belonging—whether you’re a local or a visitor. Highly recommended by all who have visited, The Café promises to leave a lasting impression and invites you to experience its charm for yourself.

The food is good, the staff are polite. Found the menu is simple but delicious and soups are fantastic & full of flavour. Only thing that could help is a way to clear your table to help others who come to sit down after you.

And it is real! A nice English breakfast inside a church! And a super service too. I came a bit early before the opening and the nice waitresses let me in with a smile. Great start, then every thing went in order, tea, eggs, sausages. Thanks God!

Such a pretty and unique interior, definitely worth the visit if only for the atmosphere. Loved my strong earl grey and chocolate cake, had some reservations about a teacake and my partner didn’t like his coffee at all so some wins, some losses, overall a good experience though and will come again. It’s buzzy but not too loud, music just right for everyone to be able to chat without yelling, just a nice place.

Had afternoon tea here during the jubilee celebration and it was our first time visiting this local spot. We were blown away by the quality VS the price. The afternoon tea offering was delicious and the staff were also exceptional, polite, kind and super friendly. I cannot recommend enough and really hope that they bring back the afternoon tea as it was truly delightful!

Lovely cafe with plenty of sitting and delicious food. We recently discovered this cafe and visiting almost every Saturday for brunch after our library rhyme time session with our little one. Staff is friendly and food is reasonably priced. Highly recommended this cafe in Woking. And this cafe is temporary closed from 2 March till September for renovations.

The toasties are fantastic, the cakes are sweet, the staff are lovely, and they make delicious coffee. Usually I think there are comfy sofas but during these Covid times it's just standard tables and chairs but they're comfy enough. It's a lovely place to stop for a coffee and bite to eat if you're in the town centre. Oh, and if you like jacket potatoes, theirs are HUGE!
